Buying from 1688 in the UK without a Chinese bank account

1688 UK helps UK businesses buy from 1688, communicate with Chinese suppliers and arrange RMB payments without their own Chinese bank account, under written order-specific terms.

1688 Overseas UK can help a UK business buy from 1688, communicate with Chinese suppliers and arrange RMB payments without the business opening its own Chinese bank account. Currency, exchange-rate basis, fees and the refund route are confirmed in writing for each order.

Choose the support you need

You can discuss purchasing, supplier communication and payment support together, or ask about payment-only support when you have already agreed an order. The written scope should identify who holds the supplier order and who handles changes, returns and refunds.

1688 UK is an independent sourcing and logistics support service operated by Jeton Express. It is not an official 1688 marketplace or Alibaba Group service. See the purchasing service scope before authorising work.

Turn a product link into an approved order

Send the 1688 product links, required models, colours, sizes and quantities, plus any sample requirement. Include the supplier's quotation or Chinese messages if you already have them. The team can help clarify units, variants and buying terms, compare offers and communicate with suppliers.

A product link alone is not purchasing authorisation. Review the supplier offer, agreed specification, substitutions and payment breakdown before funds are committed. Keep a written record of what you approved so that incoming goods can be checked against the same brief.

Agree the RMB payment arrangement in writing

You do not need your own Chinese bank account for the agreed supplier-payment support. Before paying, confirm:

  • The supplier, intended payee, order reference and amount to be paid.
  • The currency, exchange-rate basis and any validity period for the quotation.
  • The service, transfer or other applicable fees, and what each quoted amount includes.
  • Any deposit, balance and condition that must be met before the next payment.
  • The agreed refund destination and how received refunds, outstanding amounts, fees and exchange differences will be recorded.

The arrangement is confirmed for your order; a payment method, exchange rate or refund outcome should not be assumed from a general guide. The supplier payment terms guide explains the records to agree. Check the purchasing fees and included services separately; the scope and charges for payment-only support are agreed before authorisation.

Review goods and supplier issues before export

Agree which SKUs, quantities and features should be checked, and whether an approved sample is available. Inspection records and photos identify what arrived, what was examined and any reported discrepancy. Use those findings to decide which stock to release, hold or raise with the supplier.

Visual checks do not certify a product or rule out every hidden defect. Supplier returns depend on the agreed work, the supplier's terms and the stage of the order. Returning goods and receiving a refund are separate events; any unresolved refund balance should remain visible in the order record. See quality control and supplier issue handling and the inspection brief.

Send a brief for your first order

Share the product links, quantities, supplier messages or quotation, inspection needs and UK delivery postcode through the contact page, or email hi@1688overseasuk.com. Request a written scope and payment breakdown before authorising purchasing. Delivery, importer responsibilities, taxes and insurance should be confirmed separately where relevant to your order.
