How do I choose between express, parcel, air, sea and road freight from China?
Choose a China freight option using the goods, packed measurements, destination and required receiving milestone. Compare complete quotations for suitable services. Express and parcel are service products; air, sea and road are modes. LCL/FCL and full-truck arrangements describe capacity use. Agree DDP or DAP responsibilities separately from that transport choice.

Air handling is one transport setting. Compare the complete offered route, including collection and final delivery.

Separate the questions hidden inside a route name
Read a route name as a starting point for five questions: which goods it accepts, how they travel, whether capacity is shared, where handover occurs and which import responsibilities are included. Ask the provider to show those details in the quotation. Compare offers against the same packing and destination; a branded service name does not define the complete journey.
Back to guide contentsPrepare one shipment brief before requesting options
List the product description, components needing route review, released quantity, carton count, outside dimensions and gross weight. Mark estimates and identify when final packing figures will be available. Add the destination country, postcode, receiving hours, booking and unloading requirements. Describe the date you need stock received or ready for sale, rather than supplying an unexplained urgent label. The chosen provider can then state the expected service window and its starting and ending milestones for that actual shipment.
Back to guide contentsCompare service products and physical transport legs
Our 3000+ logistics routes cover destinations worldwide, including international express, parcel logistics, air, sea and road services. The available choice depends on the goods and destination. Use this original question table to clarify each offer. Do not decide from a universal kilogram cutoff or assume one mode is always cheapest. Compare the same final packing and required endpoint; collection, transfer handling and destination delivery can change the practical comparison.
Scroll sideways if needed. Keyboard: focus the table area and use the left and right arrow keys.
| Option proposed | Ask the provider | Record for comparison |
|---|---|---|
| International express or parcel service | Which goods, package limits, transport legs and delivery service does this product accept? | Chargeable weight basis, tracking references and final delivery point |
| Air freight | What collection, cargo handling, clearance and destination delivery are included? | Booking basis, packed measurements and each included stage |
| Sea freight | Is the offer consolidated cargo or a full container, and what happens at each terminal? | Capacity basis, handling, destination charges and receiving arrangements |
| Road or combined transport | Which legs use road, which transfers occur and is capacity shared or a full truck? | Route scope, acceptance, handovers and unloading needs |

Define a sea-freight proposal
Confirm the actual consolidation or container arrangement, included port handling and the destination handover in the quote.
Compare consolidation with dedicated capacity
For sea freight, LCL means less-than-container load and FCL means full-container load. For road services, confirm whether the offer shares capacity or uses a full truck, FTL. Ask about measurement, minimum charges, handling and destination receipt. Decide using actual quotations and the shipment's requirements; these labels do not establish a universal volume threshold or complete delivery scope.
Back to guide contentsAdd DDP or DAP and the receiving instructions separately
We support DDP and DAP services. Identify the named place, agreed import arrangement and included destination work for each suitable transport offer. Ask who supplies the customs information, answers a query, books the delivery and provides the receiving documents. Confirm charges and exclusions in writing. Our receiving, quality checks, photos, storage and packaging are free; international transport remains a separately quoted part of the plan. A free packing service does not make every packed shape acceptable to every route.

Keep the road leg in the plan
Identify collection and final delivery access, vehicle arrangements and the receiving instructions for the route offered.
Choose against the milestone your business needs
Compare each option with the goods ready for release and the receiving milestone. If only part is ready, request separate quotes for the ready batch, remaining goods and complete order. Our service-experience account describes past consolidation and overseas delivery by air and express. Its timing does not set a window for a new order, and the peak-season scenario records a planning example rather than an achieved result. Approve the current route and stock release together.

Send the goods description, packed measurements, destination and receiving requirements. We can discuss the available service products, transport modes and DDP or DAP arrangements for that brief.
Questions before you order
Does choosing DDP mean choosing air freight?
No. Agree the transport service and the DDP or DAP responsibilities separately. Ask which combinations are available for your goods and destination.
At what weight should I automatically switch to sea freight?
There is no universal cutoff in this guide. Use final packing, the required receiving milestone and complete quotations for suitable routes, including minimum and destination charges.
Does a full container mean every delivery cost is included?
The capacity label does not define the full service scope. Confirm collection, handling, import responsibilities, destination delivery, booking and unloading in the actual quotation.
Can I use the timing from your past service account for my order?
Ask for a fresh route assessment. The published account is bounded historical experience, and its reported range is not a promise for a new shipment.
