Plan free China warehouse storage for 1688 orders

Plan free China warehouse storage for several 1688 suppliers using receipt dates, held-stock decisions and approved release quantities.

How we use sources & review our guides
THE SHORT ANSWER

What should a UK buyer agree before leaving stock in a China warehouse?

1688 Overseas UK provides free China warehouse storage, receiving, quality checks, photography and packaging. Agree the goods, handling needs and planned holding period before supplier dispatch. Track each receipt separately, name who decides the next action for held stock, and issue acknowledged instructions for the exact quantities to release or retain.

IN THE PICTURE

Free storage still needs an identifiable stock record and current handling instructions.

Third-party scene photography accompanies the guidance. It does not document our facilities or an order handled by us.

Confirm storage suitability before supplier dispatch

State why each batch will remain in China: another supplier has not arrived, checks are pending, packing needs work or dispatch is planned for later. Have the warehouse confirm acceptance of the goods, quantity, packing, planned duration and handling needs. Identify any storage conditions the product requires and who will assess them before suppliers use the address.

Keep a dated record for every receipt

Link each incoming parcel or batch to its supplier order, SKUs and received quantities. Keep actual arrival, checks and buyer approval as separate dates. Add the holding reason, next action and review owner. A later supplier delivery does not change an earlier receipt date. Keep disputed goods, sample decisions and stock reserved for later dispatch identifiable until the next instruction.

Scroll sideways if needed. Keyboard: focus the table area and use the left and right arrow keys.

Separate free handling from the shipment budget

Our receiving, inspection, photography, warehouse storage and packaging services are free. Keep those terms visible beside the work agreed for your order. The purchasing service fee is 9% of the goods purchase amount; international transport needs its own quotation. Record the goods, quantities and final packing details used for that quotation. Free storage does not decide the most useful dispatch date: consider UK stock availability, outstanding supplier work and the cost of the proposed shipment when reviewing whether to wait.

Compare waiting with releasing the available stock

Use an invented planning example: batch A arrived on 1 October and batch B is expected later, with a review set for 15 October. Record A’s actual receipt. At review, compare B’s confirmed status with the transport costs and UK stock consequences of waiting or sending A separately. Do not replace A’s receipt date with B’s arrival. This illustration supplies no shipment promise. Use current transport quotations, available stock and the date your business needs the goods.

Keep held stock identifiable

Record the goods waiting for a decision separately from the quantities approved for dispatch. Share the current release version with the packing team.

Keep a continued hold connected to a next action

If stock must stay longer than planned, update the team with the reason and proposed next review. Identify who will chase the missing supplier, assess new evidence or authorise the next shipment. Confirm any change in the goods’ condition or handling needs. Keep the responsible contact and a backup owner available. Confirm the continued holding arrangement and retain the updated order plan.

Close storage against physical movement

Issue a dated instruction identifying the receipt references, SKUs and quantities to release and those remaining. Ask the warehouse to acknowledge the instruction and report any count or packing difference. Connect dispatched cartons with the updated stock balance and retain the movement evidence. Goods can remain physically present after a release request; keep them visible until handover is evidenced. Give the remainder its own owner and review date.

Share the stock you intend to hold

Send the supplier receipt list, goods details, expected arrivals and the reason for holding stock. We can discuss China receiving, handling and dispatch requirements and identify the terms needing confirmation.

Questions before you order

Does every supplier parcel have the same review date?

Set dates around the work outstanding for each receipt. You can review several batches together while preserving their separate arrival dates, quantities and next actions.

Is your China warehouse storage free?

Yes. Receiving, inspection, photography, storage and packaging are free. Confirm the goods, holding purpose and planned review with the team.

Does a release request mean the goods have left?

Keep the stock on the ledger until physical movement is confirmed. Record the release instruction, packing completion and actual handover separately, then reconcile the quantity remaining.

Should I always wait for every supplier to arrive?

Compare split-shipment costs with the missing goods’ status and your UK stock requirement. Set a review point and obtain approval for the chosen quantities and costs.
